Uighur men at Guantanamo flown to Albania

East Turkistan exile government Five Chinese Uighur men who had been detained at Guantanamo Bay have been flown to Albania. The five Uighurs were apparently swept up by bounty hunters in Pakistan and delivered to U.S. forces. The Uighurs are a Turkic, Muslim people numbering some 8 million but their state, East Turkistan, was subsumed by China. Rendition now leads to CIA secret detention

When it takes terrorist suspects into its custody, the CIA no longer uses rendition to transport them into the custody of countries where they are wanted. Instead, for the high-level suspects at least, rendition now leads to secret detention at the CIA’s socalled “black sites” in unspecified locations around the world.
